The Shanghai Thunderbirds AKSIL Program aims to provide a high level of competitive hockey. The simple goal is to provide deserving players with an opportunity to continue skill develop and play highly competitive hockey in the Asia Pacific region.

A high level of commitment is expected from these teams, which includes additional practices and games outside of the regular House League schedule. These teams typically travel to tournaments 4 - 5 times each year. Players selected for the Team are committing to attend the Tournaments entered. The coaching staff will inform participants of tournament details prior to the first tryout.
