BALLET
Ballet 3-5
years old
*Class duration: 45 mins
*Breakdown: warm up, body control, coordination, rhythm
& light stretching.
*Practice: basic ballet movements on music working in
lines, diagonals & circles.
*Outfit: pink or white ballet leotard, tights and shoes
Ballet 5-7 years old
*Class duration: 45 mins
*Breakdown: warm up (25 min), work on movement control,
coordination, rhythm and light stretching.
Work at the bar (5 min).
Center (15 min): basic ballet movements, working in
lines, diagonals, circles, basic dance movements.
*Outfit: pink or white ballet leotard, tights and shoes
Ballet 8-9
years old
*Class duration: 60 mins
*Warm up followed by concentrated work on the bar and
center, choreographed routines, small dances.
*Outfit: leotard, skirt, pink tights and ballet shoes.
Hair will be tied and no jewelries.
Ballet 9
years and up
*Class duration: 60 mins
*Warm up followed by concentrated work on bar and
center, choreographed routines, complex ballet movements
and dances.
This class is not recommended for kids with scoliosis
and flat feet.
*Outfit: black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes.
Note: hair needs to be tied up and no
jewelries allowed.
All AKS ballet workshops and the last
class of the season are open to the parents to watch.
AKS is willing to organize a dance
recital at the end of the school year, during which the
students with long time training at AKS or with proper
ballet training/ age group will be able to perform on
stage.
RAD certificates will be issued to those who pass the
grade exam.

TEACHER:
Christina Adriana Wang
A former Ballerina at the Hungarian State Opera in Romania,
a choreograph teacher for Arts School in Baia Mare and ballet
teacher at the Choreography High School in Cluj Napoca, Romania,
Adriana had extensive professional experience both as a dancer
and as a teacher before she came to China. Due to her excellent
teaching methods, her team of young ballerinas has taken part
in various inter-school ballet competitions and won first prize
every time they attend the competitions. This is Christina's
second season with AKS and she is looking forward to it!
