TAEKWONDO
The Olympic sport of Taekwondo is a sport-for-all for the training of body and mind. Students will gain self-confidence as they learn basic blocks, punches, kicks and self-defense techniques as well as work on balance, flexibility, and strength training. They learn fast reactions through games, learn to respect others and learn to know their strengths and weaknesses. Annual
competition is held for members to win golden cups and
medals.

FALL SEASON

NO CLASSES ON:

TIME: 4.30-5.30pm
CLASS SIZE: min. 8 kids / max. 20 kids.
LOCATION: Shanghai Black Belt Taekwondo Club,
1669 Kai Xuan Road, 4th floor (close to Line 3 Hongqiao Station)

COST:
RMB 800 for 10-week season
UNIFORM:
Students doing the full course will need a Taekwondo uniform (RMB 240) which can be purchased at the Shanghai Black Belt Taekwondo Club
INSTRUCTORS:
Shanghai Black Belt Taekwondo Academy has members from more than 36 countries. Among them, Alex Hughes (U.S.A.) who
placed third in the 1st Shanghai Taekwondo Competition and
received Black Belt First Poom of WTF are:Hunter and Austin
Engel (USA), Sarah Hanson (USA) and Benjamin Wong
(Singaporean). It is the first academy to have the rights to award from yellow belt to black belt by the Shanghai Taekwondo Association (STA).
Training sessions are also held for the Shanghai Police Academy.
